We are thrilled to share a remarkable achievement by our very own Ambassador, Julie Kembrey, and dedicated Parent Advocate, Joanne Pavey. They have co-authored a paper highlighting the impact of service user-led workshops in children’s palliative care education.
As bereaved parents they have worked hard to raise awareness of how grief and bereavement affects parents of children in palliative care services and they both trained children’s nurses to be better prepared and understanding when working alongside children with life-limiting conditions and their families.
We are immensely proud of Julie, our Ambassador and founder of the Purple Group. This publication is a testament to her commitment to improving palliative care for children and their families. 💜
