WST will donate £500 for every century break made at the Cazoo Masters to official charity Jessie May Children’s Hospice at Home, up to a maximum total of £10,000.
Every break of 100 or more at the eight-day tournament will swell the coffers for Bristol-based charity Jessie May, which provides nursing care at home for children and young people with life limiting conditions who are not expected to live beyond the age of 19.
The Cazoo Masters, at Alexandra Palace in London, features 16 of the world’s best players battling for the Paul Hunter Trophy. Last year there were 26 century breaks made during the event, so it is hoped that this time the tally will reach 20 and the maximum donation of £10,000 achieved.
WST Chairman Steve Dawson said: “Jessie May has been our charity partner since 2016 and we know what amazing work they do for vulnerable children and their families. The pandemic has really affected their funding and we urge everyone to have a look at what they do and dig deep to support them because private donations are vital to their future. We are delighted to make this donation at the Cazoo Masters and we hope to see century breaks flying so the donation will hit the £10,000 target.”
